Hello and a huge congratulations if you are getting married, it’s an amazing time in your life! Thank you for visiting. My name is Phil Gibbons and I am a Cheshire wedding photographer operating throughout Stockport and the North West.
Your wedding day is one of the most significant days in your life (my wedding was at Notley Abbey in Oxfordshire and I will never forget it). As a photographer I get to share this experience and it is something I take very seriously.
I aim to capture every moment of your wedding in the most creative and enjoyable way possible. What is important to me is that you are able to relax and fully enjoy your day with your family and friends whilst I remain as unobtrusive as possible making the experience as pain free as possible.
Although I think the documentary style of photography is the most natural I believe the balance of 80% natural/20% posed is the perfect combination. Typically these formal photographs can be completed in around 30 minutes ensuring that you get to spend as long as possible with your guests and enjoy your wedding day.

I think one of the most important aspects of being a wedding photographer is to make yourself available as much as is needed in the months leading up to the wedding so that by the time your wedding day arrives you feel like a relationship exists and you trust them to deliver for you on the day.
One of the biggest disappointments of my wedding regards the photographer was that we never met before the ceremony and communication was limited so they felt like a complete stranger on the day. On top of this, our photos consisted of around 99% candid shots with hardly any posed shots, so we learnt the hard way!
